Im a Jay fan, but goddamn, some folks on these other boards are on bullshit when they say that this album is one of his best efforts to date.....My prob with it iz I do not like this niggas new flow whatsoever on this cd, he didnt bring enough to the table on this one, and isnt as amazing as folks want to make it out to be..... and this shit was backed up by some nice beatz tho, cept the Dre ones that were trash.........

Not to mention folks seem to shy away from the fact it went PLAT because it was JAY-Z, point blank, and folks werent buyin this for no lyrics, they bought it cuz it was Jay-Z, str8 up.....and thats real...No shit, he wont ever go bak to that 'Reasonable Doubt' style ever, but still, the product coulda been better.....

I agree with you on this NINEZ. Before it came out, people were hyping this up to be Jay-Z singlehandedly "reviving" Hiphop, and that this will be the greatest thing to hit our speakers for the whole decade. When it dropped these same people were saying he doesn't have to prove himself, and he was just having fun.

This kid was tellin me how good it was and said to me "Have you even heard the whole album or just the popular songs"...Honestly Lost Ones was one of the best songs on the album. I told him I've heard it all and it legit doesnt compare to his other efforts. Some people get so defensive of their favorite artists, and act like everything they spit is fire.

4/10, cause of the few verses, and flow is good, otherwise it would be 2/10, some songs are annoying as hell

i bought since i have every other Jay album aswell so i bought it to fill the discography ...

but this album is shite ... Jay does have too many shite albums ...

there is some good tracks on it and there are some ok and some terrible ones ... just like Vol.2, Vol.3, Dynasty & BP2

when i was listening to this at first when i heard the first 6 tracks i thought he was going to have a classic and then it just went downhill from there but picked it's self up with the last 2 tracks ...

Although I have said stuff like that I do agree that people tend to shit on this album. Maybe I don't see it get worshiped because I don't go to other hip-hop forums.

Completely agree with all that, couldn't have put it better.

I think its a decent album. fuck it, i said it. I ain't even a big jay fan. Not as bad as people here say

Its isnt the best but it does have some alright tracks on it .. and i think it was given 4.5 mics thats bullshit .. its more like a 3.5 IMO
