View Full Version : Best EastCoast rapper of all time?
acid_rain 06-02-2007, 12:03 PM Who, in your opinion was/is it? There are loads of candidates, which is why I chose to make this thread. You can base your view on anything so long as its just so it can be impact on the game/lyrics, style etc.. Dunno wether this has been done before, probably has but oh well.
GhostFaceDre 06-02-2007, 12:09 PM I'm gonna go with Nas. As will the majority of the people in RW that vote in the thread.

Scrilla 06-02-2007, 01:15 PM Big L is the best off the east in my book, but he doesn't have as much material as Nas, KRS and Rakim.
Honestly if Prodigy never fell off I would go with him. I always ignore Mobb Deep these days simply because they sold out, but at one point Prodigy was the best imo. I heard if you listen to The Infamous then Blood Money back to back your brain will explode.

I agree Prodigy is excellent as a solo. I used to like Mobb Deep more before they got involved with Gay-Unit aswell. Im gonna go with KRS One/Rakim though simply because of their infulential lyrics and amazing tracks.
TonySt4rk 06-02-2007, 01:57 PM Lamont Coleman.
Amen...
X-NINE 06-02-2007, 02:21 PM I think DMX is a good contender for that
Even tho the man's last album was shit, he' did have a huge impact on the game for his time, and consistantly went platinum, and never changed his raw style, and still went plat off of no soft shit.....which is somethin rare in hiphop rite now
GhostFaceDre 06-02-2007, 02:28 PM There are so many NY rappers that are better then DMX man. I don't know, IMO he ain't even top 10 for NY.
Lyrical Abuse 06-02-2007, 02:44 PM rakim.....
