Ondre Moore better known as (Swifty Mcvay), was born into a family of eight and grew up on the Westside of Detroit of 8Mile which is known nationally from the motion picture “8 Mile” based on his partner true life story Mr. Marshall Mathers better known as “Eminem”. Swifty Mcvay started his career as a rapper at an early age where he entered local talent shows. He cleverly recited lyrics written by nationally known artist. Once he learned and mastered the artistry of free styling and writing his own lyrics, he became a force to be reckoned with in the Motor City.

Swifty Mcvay was part of a group called the “Rabeez” which was briefly signed by Robins Records and their distribution deal was with BMG. He later went on and founded the rap group known around Detroit as “Raw Collection”. Ondre created the name Swifty from his early days as being a child that was quick, athletic and very agile. He later added on Mcvay by taking that name from Timothy Mcveigh cleverly metaphorically on the level of blowing up the music industry. Swifty Mcvay performed every Saturday at the famous Hip Hop shop of 7 Mile where he gained the recognition and respect of Bugsy a former member of the now nationally known rap group Dirty Dozen known around the world as D12.

Bugsy was impressed with his skills as an artist and recommended to his fellow partners Eminem, Big Proof, Bizarre, Kon Artist and Kuniva that, Swifty Mcvay should join D12. D12 got signed to Shady Records / Interscope and went out on their first tour which was the “Up In Smoke Tour” in spring of 2000 with Ice Cube, Mack 10, Dubb-C, Deven the Dude, Kurupt and Das from the “Dogg Pound”. They went on to do the "Anger Management Tour 1" in fall of 2000 in the United States with Eminem, Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach. They also took that tour over seas in spring of 2001.

They did the “Warp Tour” in fall if 2001 and did the "Anger Management Tour 2" in the United States and over seas with Eminem and Xzibit. D12 earned enough recognition to do two of their own tours the “Devils Night Tour” and the “D12 World Tour”. They also did the last and final "Anger Management Tour 3" with Eminem, 50 Cent, Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck in 2005.

Swifty Mcvay has performed on other nationally known artist projects such as Funk Master Flex and Deejay K-Slay. Swifty Mcvay and his partners from D12 also, appeared on three major motion picture sound tracks; Barber Shop, Shark Tales and the Longest Yard. D12 members are also feature characters on a video game called “Crime Life” which they also did the title track for the video game.

D12 has a few awards under their belt. They won Artist of the Year from the MTV awards in Rome, they also won an award from Billboard due to birth of their albums "Devils Night" and "D12 World" climbing the charts. They collectively sold over 8 million albums worldwide.

They have appeared on MTV, MTV 2, BET, TRL and the Jimmy Kimmel show.

Swifty Mcvay is also turning his attention towards acting. He made his acting debut in the major motion picture “The Longest Yard” starring Adam Sandler, Burt Reynolds, Chris Rock and Nelly.

Listen to "Yall Gon Remember Me" Track from Swifty's up coming mixceedee Forest Fyre

The staff at RawUnsignedTalent.Com had the opportunity to sit down and kick-it in the studio with none other than Swifty McVay of Detroit's own "D' 12" (DIRTY DOZEN)

"Raw": What up doe "Swift"

"Swift": Nothin much... jus in work mode, absorbing what this earth provides u to survive, fighting spirits and staying away from people who are not on one accord wit me.

"Raw": First, tell the world something about Swifty McVay that they may not already know.

"Swift": That I'm in this world but not of it and I would die standing for what I believe in.

"Raw": How long have u been Rapping?

"Swift": As far as I can remember, when I was young I didn't know how it felt to never to want to rap. I was given a gift when I was negative 6 months in my mothers stomach.

"Raw": How did you get started in the game?

"Swift": This industry ignorant drug dealer took me and my x-rap partner under his wing. We worked on 1 album for 3 years and he gave us to a major label that dicked us. I still tried to stay in the industries eyes as much as possible afterward.

"Raw": Name at least 3 people that are influential to you. Why?

"Swift": 1st The messenger of Christ... he was sent to root out and destroy what was shook out of place for 2000 years. 2nd My mother... she's labeled one of the strongest woman in this lifetime. 3rd Rubien "Hurricane" Carter, he mentally had the strength of 100 ox's.

"Raw": Tell us how you felt when received your first double-platinum plaque.

"Swift": I was pumped cause I discovered that the hood wasn't the only one who understood my rhythm and poetry I had in me.

"Raw": What do you bring to the table in being part of a multi-platinum group coming out of the Motor City?

"Swift": I bring energy and the spirit of hood loyalty. I will bomb on you first whether my niggas right or wrong and a "water can be thicker than blood" type of style to the table.

"Raw": Do you plan on releasing a solo album? If so, when?

"Swift": I plan on droppin a solo mixceedee project in late Dec. 2005 and an official solo project in 2006 sometime b4 spring is over.

"Raw": What can we expect from "Swift" in the future?

"Swift": Besides my solo project. I will be united in another D'12 album sometime next year. Also u will be seeing me in a tons of movies from major roles to D-nice who's the man type cameos and changing the world seriously!!!

"Raw": Who came up with the name D 12 (Dirty Dozen)?

"Swift": Actually Proof came up with the name. A bunch of emceez put together that mashed niggaz lyrically at The Hip-Hop Shop. 6 Emcees 6 alter eagles = Dirty Dozen

"Raw": Other than D'12... Were you in any other groups?

"Swift": Yes, in the 7th grade I was in a group called "The Sinbad Boys", the name is self explanatory. Then I was in the Narcotic Clan but we were controversially tampered with. Then The Outcast until Andre' and Big Boi dropped Sothernplayalistics. When I thought I had rabies I got into that name until my x-rap partner left me to get signed solo. Now I'm tattooed forever with D12 and it ends there.

"Raw": Give me your input. What ingredients do you need to be successful in the industry?

"Swift": Know industry morals, comfortable studio, a 1 to 3 in house producer's that u grew up with for chemistry sake. Never have double minded people around u. Federal reserve (money) no matter how u got it cause U can't build a nation without finance. Its must a to have your own government under your belt in this world.

"Raw": What advice would you give to aspiring artist to help them make it in this business?

"Swift": If you don't have passion for music don't do it...it won't work... be prepared to work hard and put your own shit out b4 you think of anyone signing u, absorb knowledge 1st, then conquer wit it and stay away from liabilities.

"Raw": What's difficult about being a rapper?

"Swift": Dealing wit the fact that there are good politics and there are bad politics and the people around u, no matter how long you've known them are gonna change. Build their on perception of u. No matter how much the money and fame didn't change you and they ask for more cuz u doing more.

"Raw": Last but not least. Give some shout outs...

"Swift": Blahhhhh (echo)
