most UK hip-hop albums have no replay value years down the line...

going through my folder with all the UK hip-hop albums in it and the only ones that are significant for me are...

Council Estate Of Mind
Sagas Of...

with...

Lewis Parker - Masquerades & Silhoulettes
Jehst - Return Of The Drifter

...get a listen now and again...

Roots Manuva - Brand New Second Hand
Verb-T & Harry Love - Bring It Back To Basics
Kyza - The Experiance
Yungun & Mr. Thing - Grown Man Business
(mainly for the beats cos Yungun is borin)

...the above are on the ipod but only get a listen every so often....thats only 8 albums out of the 80 odd in the folder.

but...
the Scottish, Crazy Tone skit from Skreins Eat Up mixtape >>>
http://usershare.net/r0e2jm31e5cv#
fuck knows where this whole skit came from...thats wit made it good to me when i first heard it.

Re: most UK hip-hop albums have no replay value years down the line...

I listen to ROTD every few months or so, I don't know if I can ever get tired of that album. That new Lewis Parker wasn't bad but I won't be giving it a spin anytime soon, if ever, just wanted to hear it to have heard it tbh. The Klash album is dope too, haven't heard it in a loooonngg time, might give it a spin but I know i'd definitely put ROTD over it regardless.

Haha, mock all you want, but I still enjoy plenty of it.

And there's still plenty of sick stuff coming out.

I don't get why everyone's into grime these days. Most of the beats sound the same and they talk about 3 or 4 subjects. It's not even as good as it was.

All down to personal taste at the end of the day.

And that picture is about 4 years old.

Re: most UK hip-hop albums have no replay value years down the line...

Not a UK album guy still

I listen to these mixtapes more than albums tho:
Hollowman meets blade-Giggs
Ard Bodied-Giggs and Dubz
Pure Koke-K-Koke
Today's my deadline-Kyzer Sose
Woolyhood- Buck and Fixdot'm
Wooly@heart- Buck and Fixdot'm

Thats about it though.Although I have listen to over a thousand mixtapes and albums. Replay value needs to improve in this season. The south london *****s are doing well though.
